Throughout the year many dedicated coaches participate in any number of activities that help keep them current and up to date. It is important that these activities be documented and submitted for continuing education credit. The only continuing education that NYSSRA will be tracking through USSA is USSA certification programs. The participant is responsible for reporting all other events to the NYSSRA office to receive credit.
The NYSSRA Membership Office will be tracking coaching credentials and will only issue coaches cards to those members who are current. Please refer back to the Coaches Education Plan located under the same tab on this page for further explanation of the three strategies for fulfilling the Coaches Education responsibilities.
The goals of the committee are to make continuing education accessible and to provide valuable, up to date information that is directly applicable to working with your athletes at all levels. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
