• USSA National Coaches Academy Preliminary Information

 A high-level three-day intensive learning opportunity for upper level USSA coaches with on-snow interaction with U.S. Ski Team staff and athletes, classroom learning in sport science and coaching topics, and a national gathering of the country's best coaching minds. Days will include observation of U.S. Ski Team training sessions and group discussion on technique and tactics, followed by in-depth presentations in the afternoon and evening. Alpine coaches do not want to miss this new program to mark the return of the National Coaches Academies!

Who can attend:  Level 200 certified coaches and above

• Dirk Gouwens and Rich Smith to Work in Eastern Office - Congratulations to Dirk who is now the Eastern Competition Manager. We sure will miss your expertise, commitment to NYSSRA ski racing and your tireless enthusiasm. And, we'll miss you! We know you're just a phone call away though.

Rich Smith was just named to be our Eastern Education and Athletic Manager.

Most recently, Rich was the Head Men's coach at Waterville Valley Academy and WVBBTS. Prior to Waterville, he was the Program Director of Hailey Ski Team in Hailey, Idaho. Rich was also an Assistant Eastern Regional coach in the past. Welcome to Rich.
